Neal Martin 86-88 points www.vinous.com The 2017 La Croix de Gay has a straightforward, slightly conservative bouquet with brambly red fruit and tertiary aromas, but it is missing a sense of exuberance and panache. The palate is medium-bodied with fine-grain tannin, crisp acidity, nicely poised with a touch of spice surfacing towards the finish. The palate has more to offer than the aromatics at the moment, but I strongly suspect that this will be an earlier drinking Pomerol compared to others.
