Jean-Marc Quarin 94 points www.quarin.com Couleur sombre, aux reflets noirs. Nez très aromatique, fin, fruité et subtil, sentant bon le cabernet sauvignon. Touches de fruits noirs. Moelleux en entrée de bouche et de suite très raffiné au toucher, (la texture évoque le gras fin d’un vin blanc sec), tout fond, subtil, délicat et incrachable. C’est très bon. Assemblage : 78 % cabernet sauvignon, 22 % merlot. Degré d’alcool : 13°2 – pH : 3,65. Rendement : 38 hl/ha.

Que de précision, de définition dans le bouquet de Grand-Puy-Lacoste 2024. Le bouquet se révèle progressivement au travers de nuances florales, minérales et fruitées. Parfums de sureau, de crème de cassis et de réglisse. De bonne densité, le vin est porté par des tannins veloutés et charnus, tandis que l’acidité agit en coulisse. Un vin harmonieux, élégant et persistant. Il est doté d’un excellent potentiel de garde. Très belle réussite ! 2029-2049

It is simple but exhibits impressive delineation. You get the feeling that the aromatics are holding something back. The palate is medium-bodied and classic Pauillac in style with all that graphite-tinged black fruit and edgy tannins. This is not a complex Grand-Puy-Lacoste per se, but I admire its balance, charm and gentle grip on the finish. This is classy in an unpretentious way.
