Belle couleur rouge sombre, intense et pourpre. Superbe nez, très aromatique, fin, fruité, avec une note rare de violette à cet âge. Délicatement parfumé dès l’entrée en bouche, minutieux au milieu, avec un toucher raffiné, le vin se développe charnu et très aromatique. Les fleurs l’emportent sur toute chose, avant que la finale ne s’achève sur les fruits noirs. Très belle construction. Belle finale profonde. Une grande réussite. Assemblage : 93 % merlot, 4 % cabernet franc, 3 % cabernet sauvignon. Degré d’alcool : 14°3. Rendement : 26 hl/ha.

Superbe bouquet où intensité, fraîcheur et subtilité créent une symbiose exceptionnelle ! L’harmonie est assurée grâce à des nuances de menthe poivrée, de pivoines et de baies noires. En bouche le vin affiche un côté crémeux, mais également du pep et même de la salinité en finale. Les tannins sont soyeux, veloutés, crémeux et offrent un excellent support, tout en étant secondés par la structure acide. Cette dernière plébiscite la finale tant au niveau de l’intensité que de la persistance.  2028-2047

Unwinding in the glass with aromas of dark berries, licorice, cherries and spices, the 2022 Gazin is medium to full-bodied, ample and fleshy, with excellent depth at the core, sweet tannins and a long, expansive finish. Despite the drought, the vineyards performed better in 2022 than in 2020 at this address, and the result is one of the better vintages for Gazin in recent years.

The 2022 Gazin has a ripe and generous bouquet with a mixture of red and black fruit, touches of star anis and light floral scents. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins and good depth. It’s a muscular Gazin with grippy, tobacco-infused black fruit toward the finish. This is a solid and dense Pomerol that manages to retain freshness and delineation. It will certainly require time, but I’m hoping it develops a bit more pizzazz by the time of bottling. Never underestimate Gazin – it may well happen.

and energetic, this has a lovely dynamism and purity straight away, clean and clear, tangy but tannic so you get brightness and power. It’s on the more tannic side right now, filling and upfront, but they have a nice texture and weight and the fruit intensity really carries the liveliness all the way through – picked just ripe, or just before, I think. Nicely accessible and a softer more approachable style from Gazin. A little atypical and the better for it. A yield of 26hl/ha. Tasted twice.
